Active Project: Salon Table

I started building the salon table around December 26th. You can catch progress photos HERE. As of this posting all of the wood has been cut! Now it’s all about sanding, finishing, and assembling.

I learned a lot from the first project (Bathroom Vanity). How to oversize / glue the pieces then use the planer to smooth them down, for example. The salon table is coming together more nicely, and having the right tools works wonders.

The wood is maple. The stone top is a pastry board we bought on Amazon. Not expensive, so easier to replace when we match counter tops some day. The finish will be… well, wait for it. Need a surprise after all!
