I’m proud to announce 3 bouncing baby bourbon bottle lamps (well, maybe not bouncing). And drilling has gone well since the first two mishaps.
And how does one drill a hole in a bottle? Carefully! Use a “Diamond Grit Hole Saw Drill Bit” and place the bottle in the sink under running water (to dissipate heat). Start drilling (with a hand drill) at an angle to form a notch, slowly level it out, and quit applying pressure when the hole is nearly done. It can take a while, but patience is key. You can see the resulting glass plug from the bottle on the right on the cardboard in the photo, below.

well, hate to say it, but, I’m impressed. After u retire I see u and ur lamps at the St. James Art Festival first w/e in Oct… 2021. and yes, I’ll help in the booth !!! REALLY like them.. hugz, antie
